David Mecey - Founder After a 23 history of working at Playboy® magazine as both staff and contributing photographer, David has come to be known as one of the finest photographers for shooting beauty in the world. With his clients including noted makeup, lingerie, swimwear, celebrities, and sportswear manufacturers worldwide, including over 50 covers, he brings to them his background for photographing women with both style and sensuality. Michelle Vanderhule - Hair and Makeup Michelle Vanderhule is based in Los Angeles, and considers herself very lucky: her passion for creating outstanding hair and makeup artistry for her clients allows her to travel all over the world. She is consistently in demand for a wide rage of projects including catalogs, editorial, celebrities, fashion, advertising, television, film, commercials and private clients. She has been considered for both an Emmy nomination for her work on American Idol and a Daytime Emmy for the show, Knights and Warriors. Michelle brings an incredible talent into the workshop with her innate sense of makeup and hair. Working with David for many years, they have combined their talents to create some incredible images for a variety of clients around the world. Always the first on the list when putting a team together of styling pros, Michelle brings great energy, personality and talent to every photo shoot in which she is asked to participate. image911@pacbell.net www.michellevanderhule.com Joe Coonan - 1st Assistant and Associate Instructor Joe Coonan is an honor graduate of Brooks Institute of Photography, and is a two time award winner of both the prestigious Nikon International Photo and American Photo Magazine contests. He has enjoyed facilitating the client’s photographic needs with such varied subject matter as: food, tabletop product, fashion, beauty, automotive and interiors-- all with the highest dedication to excellence in lighting. As David’s First Assistant, Joe not only brings his extensive knowledge of photography to a job, but also an enormous amount of good humor and positive reinforcement. Joe’s dedication to the FotoFantasyCamp® program is an enormous asset in making the Camp work in such a finely tuned manner. www.jmcphotos.com Tom Ordway - 2nd Assistant and Associate Instructor Tom Ordway graduated from Brooks Institute of Photography with honors in both Industrial-Scientific and Color Theory. While at Brooks, he was constantly challenging himself to remain at the top of his class, which would pay off with an impressive reward later. It would be in his third year at Brooks that he began work as an intern for world-renowned explorer and filmmaker, Jean-Michel Cousteau, son of famous oceanographer, Jacques Cousteau. After graduating, he would spend the next 10 years as a staff photographer with the Cousteau organization, traveling and photographing the world. Those travels allowed him to visit some of the most beautiful places on earth, including Fiji, Micronesia, Palau, Truk Lagoon, Turks & Caicos, and the Cayman Islands to name a few. Currently, Tom works as one of David Mecey’s primary assistants while also maintaining work as a freelance photographer.
